Dr. Brian Patterson MD, FAAP
Dr. Brian Patterson was born and grew up in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Williams College in 1972 and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 1976. After completing his pediatric residency at UCLA Harbor General Hospital in Torrance, California, he moved with his family to San Luis Obispo in 1979. He has practiced with Jim Tedford, his friend and partner, for his entire pediatric private practice career. After more than thirty years of practice, he still loves taking care of children. His special medical interest is respiratory problems in children. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife Petra of 37 years, hiking, gardening, skiing, kayaking and reading. He has two grown children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Jim Tedford MD, FAAP
Practicing pediatrics in San Luis Obispo County for the past thirty-three years, Dr. Tedford is a native Californian. He obtained his medical training at UCLA, and completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Following a two-year stint in the United States Air Force in Spokane, Washington, Dr. Tedford began his practice of General Pediatrics in San Luis Obispo in 1975. For many years, he divided his practice time between the city of San Luis Obispo and the North County. For the past 9 years he has practiced full-time in Atascadero. Dr. Tedford resides in San Luis Obispo with his wife Claudia. They are the proud parents of three married children and very proud grandparents of six healthy grandsons.

Dr. Michael McNerney MD, FAAP
Dr. McNerney is a native Californian raised in Southern California. He completed his undergraduate training in Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed Medical School at St. Georges University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He finished his residency in General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in 2000. He spent two years active duty in the US Air Force stationed at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, in Fairfield, California. After that, he spent three years with Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California. He moved to the Central Coast in 2006 to join his uncle, Dr. Tedford, and Dr. Patterson in private practice. Dr. McNerney lives in Paso Robles with his wife Courtney, a nurse at the Sierra Vista NICU, and his two children, Mairin and Dennis.

Ellen Castellanos CPNP - Nurse Practitioner
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of San Francisco, Ellen obtained her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) certificate at Loma Linda University in Irvine. She has been working as a PNP for 23 years and has been with Patterson & Tedford Pediatrics for over 8 years. She has a ready smile and is very approachable. Ellen is a proud mother of a grown son and she enjoys sewing, making quilts, and traveling.
